Kiera Gordan
Kiera Grace is a British artist whose work explores memory and the ways it is shaped through cultural transmission, the body, and archival traces. Drawing on the unreliable and sentimental nature of recollection, she creates layered compositions that emulate the distortions and residues of remembering. Often centred on scenes within the Black British diaspora, her practice employs oil paint, acrylic, image transfer, and material imprints to build surfaces where fragments of narrative and gesture accumulate. Through these processes, her work reflects on how histories are carried forward and asks how we might acknowledge the past while continuing to live with pride in the present.
